Developing the Muskrat Falls Project will generate more than 3,100 jobs at peak with an average of 1,500 jobs each year during construction across more than 70 trades and occupations. After construction is complete, Newfoundland and Labrador employment will continue with an estimated 80 direct full-time jobs during the operational life of the Project.

To ensure we attract highly-skilled, qualified individuals to the Muskrat Falls Project, Nalcor is committed to competitive terms and conditions of employment for workers that include competitive wages, quality accommodations, travel and transportation, and accessible training.

The Benefits Strategy between Nalcor and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador ensures the people of Newfoundland and Labrador will be the primary beneficiaries of the Project. Total direct, indirect and induced employment in the province is estimated to be 23,300 person-years.

The Benefits Strategy establishes a hiring protocol for the Project. Commitments made in the Impacts and Benefits Agreement with the Innu Nation are a priority, followed by consideration of employment for qualified residents of Newfoundland and Labrador. For the generation portion of the project, qualified residents of Labrador will have priority, followed by residents of Newfoundland.

The hiring protocol for the hydroelectric generation facility is:
• Commitments made in Impacts and Benefits Agreement with Labrador Innu
• Qualified and experienced residents of Labrador
• Qualified and experienced residents of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Qualified and experienced residents of Canada

The hiring protocol for Labrador-Island Link is:
• Commitments made in Impacts and Benefits Agreement with Labrador Innu
• Qualified and experienced residents of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Qualified and experienced residents of Canada

Nalcor and its subcontractors will offer a variety of career opportunities throughout the life of the Muskrat Falls Project. Candidates seeking opportunities with the Project can pursue the following options:

1) Register with on the Muskrat Falls jobs website at www.muskratfallsjobs.com. Here you can register your resume, training and employment history which will be available to Nalcor, SNC-Lavalin, contractors and unions with the Project.
